A love story 11 years in the making

We met 11 years ago on our first day at Brookdale. Acording to Dan, it was love at first sight. Considering Kaitlin was trying out his last name by the end of the semester, she would have to agree. Over the next 11 years we have been through many schools, jobs, and states, but our love for each other never changed. We look forward to now, more then every, commiting to spending the rest of our lifes together.

After waiting patiently for Kaitlin to finish her many many years of school, Dan planned a sceinic hike to a beautiful waterfall last summer where he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Of course she said yes, and after just a little bit of ugly crying, and a long time admiring all the effort Dan put into designing the perfect ring, they began to plan for forever.

There have been many years of long distance, times when one of us had to drive upwards of 6 hours just to spend a weekend together. In the early days when we wanted to remind ourselves that no distance is too far we would say to one another “I love you to the moon and back”. When planning a wedding first crossed our minds, Dan had mentioned how sweet it would be to have that as a wedding theme. I just wanted to share so that as you see all of the small details that we incorporated you can appreciate the part of our story that they represent.
