Just a short distance from the wedding venue, this is an ideal spot if you want to relax and get a coffee. It's also a favorite hangout for Magda's dog, so you might see him there. From here, you can enjoy a walk along the Vardar River that leads directly to the City Center.
Vodno and Millenium Cross
Vodno Mountain offers stunning views of the city from its mid-levels and summit. You can take an escalator halfway up the mountain and then continue to the top, where you can visit the iconic cross. Occasionally, parties are held at the summit, making it a great spot for both sightseeing and socializing. The nature is beautiful.
Debar Maalo Neighborhood
One of the most vibrant and popular neighborhoods in Skopje, known for its lively atmosphere, rich culture, and culinary delights. It's located near the city center and is a favorite spot for both locals and visitors, offering a mix of traditional charm and modern conveniences. Pass through Boemska Street if you are looking for some local food, deserts, kafana's and great atmosphere. Also, try to find "Silbo" Bakery which is open 24/7, a very popular spot for locals, and grab a burek or any other pastry.
Ancient City of Stobi
About 80 km south of Skopje. Stobi was an important city in the Roman and early Byzantine periods. The archaeological site includes well-preserved ruins of ancient temples, theaters, mosaics, and more, offering a deep dive into the region’s history. This can be combined with a visit of Stobi Winery.
Ohrid
The historic city by Lake Ohrid is one of Macedonia’s most treasured destinations, renowned for its rich history and a remarkable number of ancient churches. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Ohrid is often referred to as the "Jerusalem of the Balkans," with over 300 churches, some dating back to the 9th century. Must-visits include St. John of Kaneo, St. Sophia, and the Monastery of Saint Naum, known for its beautiful frescoes and serene atmosphere. Ohrid's old town is a very charming place with its cobblestone streets and historic architecture.
