Their story began over 10 years ago in San Jose, CA. Maggie and her cousin jumped into the back of Chris’s car, as he was picking them up for a mutual friend’s gathering. Chris clearly remembers seeing her reflection in the rearview mirror of his car and was instantly captivated by her beauty. They became friends and their first “date as friends” was dinner at Chilli’s and a movie of her choice. They continued to stay good friends and would occasionally meet for dinner and a drive up Mt. Hamilton to catch the sunset. Time passed and Chris and Maggie went to colleges 3,000 miles apart - Chris in Florida and Maggie in Southern California. They both moved back home after graduation and Chris messaged Maggie on Facebook to see how she was. They quickly picked up from where they left off, only this time in a more romantic setting. On September 26, 2016, Chris nervously asked Maggie to be his girlfriend, and their journey of love then truly started. Chris was fascinated and charmed by Maggie’s beauty, her intelligence, her sense of humor, and most of all how much she supported and cared for him. Chris knew how great of a mother she would also be one day. Maggie was moved by Chris’s charm, devotion, values, and shared passions. After seven amazing years of love, life, and joy that cemented their bond, something great FINALLY happened… On November 11, 2023, Chris finally gathered up the courage to ask for her hand. He prepared a scenic picnic on a private Monterey beach to surprise his alma gemela. As they walked over to the shore, Chris finally got down on one knee to ask Magdalena for the honor of marrying her, and thankfully Maggie said “Yes, of course!” All while both of their families secretly watched from afar in the AirB&B waiting to be a part of the surprise. There was a special meaning behind the date he chose because 11/11 can be interpreted as a signal of alignment with the presence of a soulmate. They have always been drawn together by the universe and it has always felt meant to be. Overjoyed to FINALLY join their lives in matrimony, Maggie and Chris look forward to the rest of their lives together. Their wedding day is on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in their hometown.
