We first crossed paths in high school—Magda’s best friend (Chan) and Braeden were close, so we found ourselves at the same hangouts and events. At the time, we barely noticed each other; we were just two people living separate lives with different relationships. Years later, God had a different plan. After Braeden was unexpectedly cut from the soccer team at Dominguez, he found himself at Northwest Nazarene University—where Magda was already a student and on the soccer team with her best friend. This time, something was different. The connection was instant. Magda made the first move, and Braeden quickly followed.
