Magailie and Peter met online. Living on opposite sides of Houston after attending different universities, Mags was just about to delete her Hinge account for the final time before Peter commented on her profile. A question about the "right" way to spell theatre turned into a romantic first date at Magailie's favorite Asian restaurant and a night out at Cidercade to play vintage video games (where he held her hand for the first time and also destroyed her in air hockey). On September 5th, 2022, about a week after they met, Peter asked Magailie on the rooftop of POST Houston at sunset if she would be his girlfriend. Upon her saying yes, he took her back to her apartment and helped Bianca move a newly purchased (and huge) snake terrarium up to the 3rd floor where the girls lived. About 3 years later, on August 14th, 2025, Peter got on one knee at the same POST Houston at sunset to ask for Magailie's hand in marriage, while their best friends hid in the stairs to capture the moment. And no, Peter did not have to move any terrariums that evening! Since then, they have rented a home together with their beautiful family of fur babies. They are so excited to continue writing their love story, making memories, and having you be a part of that new beginning!
