Question

Do I have a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation was addressed to Mr. John Doe and Guest or Mr. and Mrs. John Doe, we have accounted for two heads. If your invite was addressed to the Doe Family, we have accounted for the number of people in your immediate family including children. If your invite does not fit the criteria above we have only accounted for you. If you believe this is a mistake please contact Owen immediately at owenw.te@gmail.com

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black Tie Preferred/Formal Attire

Question

What does black tie preferred mean?

Answer

This does not require you to wear the color black! When jargon such as “Black Tie Preferred” or “Black Tie Requested,” is used, this indicates that the host wants to put on a formal affair, but does not want to leave out those who cannot afford a tuxedo. For masculine people; dark suit and tie is in the realm of appropriate dressing, but the host is really hoping for the majority of their guests to arrive in full fledged black tie garb; tuxedos, dinner jackets, and black (bow) ties. For feminine people; “black tie” best translates as “long”, and in an evening-appropriate fabric, such as velvet, chiffon, silk or lace. It’s best to assume a floor-sweeping number.

Question

Can I bring kids?

Answer

Children are welcome! If your invitation was not addressed to the whole family, please reach out to us to make sure we have a place for them
