For those of you looking to kill some time and spend some money, look no further than the shops and eateries of Santana Row. Keep your eyes open for some exotic cars driven by Silicon Valley locals! Take a quick walk across the street to Valley Fair Mall to delight in the world famous restaurant, Din Tai Fung - Dim Sum style cuisine! One of our favorites!
Feeling brave? Venture on up to "the city" to enjoy the sights and sounds of what the heart of the Silicon Valley has to offer. You'll likely see a few Teslas, coffee shops, hipsters, metallic-colored performers, and much more! Head on over to the Mission District to dine at the restaurant that started it all - Taqueria la Cumbre, home of the Mission Style Burrito (think Chipotle, but better) or to the beautiful Ferry Building for shopping locally sourced food and goods! Don't forget to make a stop in the Presidio for glorious views of the Golden Gate Bridge (because being a tourist is really cool in San Francisco).
Want to know how Jon locked up the heart of the fair Jessica Maemone? You won't wonder after you try the bread and cheese spread found at their favorite Italian restaurant. They love the Cox family there! Look hard enough and you might see them show up on their website - hint it's the 3rd picture.
We realize that a few of you are traveling from back east. Here is our personal favorite place to grab a slice!
Enjoy a cup of craft coffee from the world famous Blue Bottle Coffee Roasters in Palo Alto. Whether it's a smooth, chocolatey mocha; a creamy latte; or a quick espresso buzz, each drink is prepared with more craftsmanship than your last DIY home project - no we promise this place is good.
Can you think of anything more comforting than southern hospitality and breakfast food. Why not have both? Be careful with the unlimited coffee and eye-popping serving sizes. Might need to walk around the beautiful DTLG (Downtown Los Gatos) to burn some of those calories!
For those of you that like to indulge in various cheeses both buttery and stinky, take the trip to the famous Cheese Shop of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Carmel is a sleepy, beach town home to one of the most breath-taking PGA Tour golf courses - Pebble Beach. Bring a jacket and a friend to walk to through the downtown of coffee shops, candy stores, and art stores which mostly house works you cannot afford.
Jessica's favorite restaurant. Hands down. The Chicken Shawarma is always a good idea :)
If you have the time to make the drive, this beautiful town is home to fantastic seafood (Jess' favorite) and the world famous Monterey Bay aquarium.
