We had been in classes together all throughout high school but did not really get to know each other until physics class junior year. We started talking more the summer after junior year and we became official around Homecoming senior year.

Ryan had arranged for us to go out to a nice dinner to celebrate the end the school year and my last weekend in Athens until graduation. Prior to dinner, we had plans to meet up with Joey at the UGA Founder's Garden to take pictures since we had dressed up for the occasion. In the middle of taking pictures, Ryan got down on one knee, pulled out a ring, and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes!
