Maegan was a third wheel with her friend Jen and her boyfriend, Craig. They were going to New Holland for games and drinks. Suddenly Craig walked over to a table full of guys that he knew, who were all playing cards. Maegan and Jen joined the table and they all started a big group game of cards. Chase was among the group, and sat next to Maegan. They started easy conversation, which included giving Maegan pointers on her fantasy football team. By the end of the night, he walked her to her car, and asked for her number. Maegan gave it to him, and almost instantly got a text. When she looked at it, it was a dinosaur emoji from an unknown number. She said, “Is this from you? Why would you send me that?” Chase responded, “I don’t know, that was the first emoji I saw that made me laugh, because you make me laugh.” From that point on, for her and some of her friends, his nickname has been Dino.

Maegan and Chase were on their way to Jen and Craig’s new house (the couple that was there when they met) that they just bought! As they are driving, Chase apologizes that he hasn’t proposed for Christmas. He had earlier told Maegan that he would propose during December. Chase kept apologizing, saying that he was sorry he got Maegan’s hopes up, but he just couldn’t get time to talk with her parents. (Later she finds out that he got dinner with them after work, when he told her he was getting drinks with coworkers.) Maegan told him in the car, that it was ok, and to not worry about it. Once at the house, after eating dinner, the girls start taking pictures. Chase mentions that him and Maegan should go on the deck by the cute lights and take pictures together! Maegan’s response was “No way, it’s too cold! I don’t want to go out there.” Eventually, she was persuaded, and Chase proposed!
