We are overjoyed and thankful that we get to enjoy this beautiful life changing moment with those closest to us. This moment is the outcome of many hopes, dreams and prayers. It feels unreal, yet it's one of the realest things a person can do.

Our first encounter was at a church membership class. We spoke after the class because we had a mutual interest in stop animation and film in general. We clicked right away, but neither of us thought much of that encounter until we met again at an Easter celebration on a beautiful spring day. Just as the spring was turning into summer two acquaintances were turning into friends. After that, we where just church friends until December of 2019. That's when our friendship really took flight and we began to see each other more outside of church. By the start of January 2020 we both were very much interested in each other. Finally, after many many long conversations about defining the relationship we started dating in August of 2020. It was the week after the derecho, so I suppose you could say our dating relationship started off with a bang of sorts... Haha. Too soon? 2020 was quite the year, not only because of everything happening in the world, our country, and our state, but because we realized our love for each other was deeper than the darkest storm. If we could face the storm of 2020 together, with Christ as our center, we could face anything in our path. So, here we are preparing for one of the biggest milestones of our lives. While we are excited AND terrified, we know that God has been and will be with us all the way. He has given us such a loving and supportive community of people to guide us. We know that no one is ever truly ready for marriage, and yet we have been given many blessings to prepare us for a good start.
