POST EVENT: How can I access and share photos from the wedding?

Answer

You can access our shared photo album using the QR code on your name placecard from the event or from the thank you card we will send in the near future. Feel free to upload your own photos from our special day! You can also download any photos you'd like.

POST EVENT: When will the professional photos be available?

Answer

Our professional photos will be ready and uploaded to the same shared album within 6-8 weeks after the wedding. The album will include photos from getting ready through the last dance. If you're having trouble accessing the album, please reach out to us at maeanddannywedding@gmail.com and we'll help you get access.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same venue?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Embassy Suites Old Town, Alexandria, VA.

What time should we arrive to the venue?

Answer

We recommend arriving by 3:00 PM to account for parking and getting seated. The ceremony begins promptly at 4:00 PM. Don't forget to validate your parking at the front desk before you leave - it's complimentary for our wedding guests!

What colors are the wedding party wearing?

Answer

Attire: Cocktail We invite you to dress accordingly with semi-formal attire (suits, cocktail dresses, or elegant separates). Our wedding party will be dressed in soft, elegant tones—bridesmaids in dusty pink and the groom and groomsmen in navy blue, while the bride will wear ivory. For the Ladies: Please avoid wearing dusty pink (bridesmaid color) and white/ivory/off-white (bride colors). Blue and other colors are welcome! Patterned dresses and attire are encouraged. For the Gentlemen: Any suit color works beautifully, including navy. We truly appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you!

As we finalize the details, we kindly ask that you RSVP by June 15, 2025. Let us know if you’ll be joining us by clicking the RSVP button on the homepage or visiting the RSVP page on our website.

When you RSVP on our website, it will indicate how many people are included in your invitation.

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend DCA because it is the most convenient, but feel free to check IAD and BWI for further options.

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking Garage: If you get onto Diagonal Road and the hotel is on the right (Metro on left) turn into the garage on the right (before the hotel) – it is labeled King Street Parking. When you pull in, grab a ticket to open the bar, and then after going down the ramp – go straight as that area is hotel parking. You will see stairs/elevator leading down to the hotel. Important: Stop by the front desk before you leave to get your parking validated for free!

Special accommodations or accessibility needs?

Please note that the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be in separate spaces connected by stairs (elevators available), and cocktail hour will have limited seating.

What will reception dinner be like?

Answer

Dinner will be buffet style. We'll have a dedicated coffee station with coffee, decaf coffee, hot tea, and iced tea available throughout the evening.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

We'll have a ticketed bar system with 2 complimentary drink tickets per guest (valid for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages). The bar will be available during cocktail hour and will reopen when the dance floor opens during the reception. Additional drinks beyond the 2 tickets can be purchased directly from the bar. We'll also have a complimentary coffee and tea bar available during dinner.
