FAQs

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mae or Taylor directly, or send us an email at MaeAndTaylor2020@gmail.com. Thanks for bearing with all of our changes!
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Check your email or text messages for an invitation from Evite; follow directions to complete your RSVP. We sent digital invitations to ONE member of every household. That person can RSVP for other household/family members and plus ones.

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

Taylor's parents' house (thank you Todd & Stacey)! 3085 Travois Circle | Rescue, CA 95672

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

Park your vehicle along the street in the neighborhood. We recommend carpooling, or taking Uber/Lyft if possible. Please do not drink and drive!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

This is a costume party! Please wear 1920s-themed attire.

Question

Will the reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both, but mostly outdoors. Guests are invited to spend the evening relaxing by the pool, playing shuffleboard, or catching up with each other at the bar.

Question

What's the weather going to be like?

Answer

Rescue's average temperature for the month of October is 77F. It will probably be fairly warm and sunny! It could be chilly after the sun goes down, but we're not anticipating rain or cold. Disclaimer: our Californian opinion of "chilly" could be totally different from yours...account for our hot & sunny bias

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, just indicate that you are bringing a Plus One when you RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course! This is a family-friendly event.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

A variety of appetizers will be available throughout the party. Catered tacos will be served later in the evening.

Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Don't worry, "Prohibition" is just a word around here. Our speakeasy will have an open bar with some signature cocktails, but feel free to order whatever liquor is available to pour. Beer and wine will also be served.

Question

Will formal invitations be mailed to my home address?

Answer

No, all event communications will be done online. Please check your email and our wedding website for updates!

Question

Are there COVID restrictions?

Answer

This is a private event and is not subject to state or county restrictions. El Dorado County historically has had low rates of COVID cases throughout the pandemic. We are NOT requiring masks, vaccinations, tests or quarantines to attend our party. Do not come if you are sick or recently exposed to someone with COVID. Most guests are vaccinated, and a majority of the party space is outdoors with good air flow. You are more than welcome to wear PPE or practice other protection measures if you'd like. If you are uncomfortable attending this large party, please do not feel pressured to come! We completely understand if you opt not to attend. Party at your own risk! Be smart. Be safe.
