All guests over the age of 18 are required to present a valid ID upon arrival to the Naval Academy. Access will be denied if you do not have an ID or have an invalid ID. Non-US Citizens are required to present a valid passport. Guests can enter on foot through the Visitor Center at Gate 1 or by car through Gate 1 or Gate 8. The Naval Academy Chapel follows very strict guidelines. Please be sure to arrive slightly ahead of schedule; guest seating begins at 3:40pm and doors will close promptly at 3:50pm.
The Naval Academy Yard has a first come first serve garage available for guests. If able, guests are encouraged to park at the Calvert Street Garage. This garage is free on weekends. It is a 20 minute walk from Gate 1 and is even closer to the reception venue!
We ask that guests arrive at the Naval Academy Chapel at 3:25pm. Doors will open promptly at 3:40pm. If driving, please allocate necessary time to park, as parking is first come first serve on the Naval Academy Yard.
Unfortunately, given that we are sharing our wedding weekend with USNA Commissioning Week, which is the busiest week in Annapolis, hotels are unable to provide transportation to the Naval Academy. Please plan accordingly to ensure timely arrival to the ceremony.
The walk from the Naval Academy Chapel to the reception venue is about 0.7 miles or a 15 minute walk. Gate 3 is conveniently located behind the Chapel for guests to exit by foot to head towards the venue! Guests who parked on the Naval Academy Yard can exit through Gate 1 or 8 and park nearby the venue (see our Things to Do page for nearby parking).
Our dress code is formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit in any color and women wear a cocktail dress. Military guests are welcome and encouraged to come in the appropriate uniform for the season.
Absolutely! Just let us know how many of your littles will be joining us on our special night.
If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
