How it Began.

On a cold November night, Madyson stumbled into a crowded karaoke bar with a few friends, expecting nothing more than cheap drinks and loud music. The moment she pushed open the door to Midway Bar, though, everything changed. Standing across the room was Paris Gorman — the boy who she met a while ago and has not stopped thinking about. Without hesitation, she walked straight up to him, grabbed his phone, and said, “Save my number.” The rest of the night felt like something out of a movie. They sang karaoke at the top of their lungs, danced recklessly, stood on the bar like they owned the place, and drank strawberry shortcake shots until closing time. By the end of the night, Paris offered to take Maddy home, but she laughed and said, “No thanks,” choosing instead to leave with her friends. But the story didn’t end there. The days that followed were filled with constant texting, late-night FaceTimes, and endless Snapchat notifications. Slowly, friendship turned into something deeper. Saturday nights became their thing — sitting side by side at Buffalo Wild Wings, talking for hours about everything and nothing. And then the world shut down. When the COVID lockdown hit, uncertainty filled the air. One day Paris called Maddy and casually said he thought maybe he should stay over “for a little while.” With Mylas’ approval, Maddy agreed. And somehow… he never really went home.
