When Wesley and I first started dating, we went through the same questions every couple asks, like "Do you want kids?", "What's your favorite color?", and "What do you want to do when you grow up?" During those questions, Wesley asked where I felt most safe. He probably doesn't remember that, but like always, I said my Mimi's. For many reasons, Mimi's was always my favorite place - the place with the best sunsets and sunrises, where I spent most of my time playing in the backyard. It was my place. Fast-forward a couple of months, and we're talking about marriage. I already knew it was on his mind because he can't keep secrets from me. I finally got it out of him that it was going to be that week. I was racking my brain with nerves because it could be at any moment. My mom said to be dressed for work because we were going to pick up Brooke and the baby from Mimi's after and go eat Mexican. In my head, I'm like, "Could this be it?" But I talked myself out of it. Well, I was right. We pull up, and Mom's smiling real big. I'm looking around to see if Brooke looks a mess or something, and there I see him under the tree I've taken pictures of in every sunset picture. And so here we are.

Well, the simple answer is we went to school together, and the more complicated answer is that I saw him for the first time in 7th/8th grade and had the biggest crush, but shy little me kept to myself. Fast forward a year or so, and now we both were in relationships and hated each other, lol. But because of our relationships, we were both still in each other's lives.
