We met at one of my friend's birthday party, but I was too nervous to get much of a conversation going. Mady considers the first time we met on January 12th because when I saw her again that night, she began the conversation with "what's your name again?" After a couple of months, and some persistence on my part, we began dating in April 2018 and have come a long way from her not remembering my name.

On our way home to South Carolina, we stopped in Chattanooga to meet my sister for dinner. Instead of sitting down to eat, we went to a spot overlooking downtown and the river and I got down on one knee and proposed! We were able to celebrate with friends and family before finishing the drive back home. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Tennessee!
