We met during our sophomore year at the University of South Dakota, where we were both studying at the Beacom School of Business. We would see each other around campus, especially at the wellness center, where we both spent plenty of time and had noticed one another. One night out with friends, fate finally stepped in at The Charcoal Lounge, a classic college dive bar in our little town. We finally got to meet in person, exchanged numbers, and from that night on, the rest was history! Since then, we’ve grown up together. Through college, new jobs, and all the adventures of adulthood. We even got to graduate side by side! Now, we call Omaha, Nebraska home, where we live with our sweet GSP pup, Kota (named after South Dakota the place that brought us together). In August 2025, we took a trip back to South Dakota to explore the beautiful Black Hills. On August 14th, surrounded by the scenery where our story first began, Ben got down on one knee, and Mady said yes! It was the easiest and happiest “yes” of our lives, and we can’t wait for this next chapter together.
