Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are located in Ridgway, Colorado. Ridgway has a few boutique hotels and airbnbs/vrbos. We have a room block at the Chipeta Lodge and they are offering our guests a 10% discount. Please call Chipeta Lodge to receive the room block rate. Guests can also look at Ouray or Montrose for other places to stay. Ouray is a 15 minute drive from Ridgway and has boutique hotels and airbnbs/vrbos. Montrose is a more budget friendly place to stay, it's a 40 minute drive from Ridgway and has chain hotels, and airbnbs/vrbos.

Will there be a shuttle service?

Answer

Yes, we have reserved a shuttle bus to take our guests from Chipeta Lodge in Ridgway to our ceremony/reception. After the reception, the shuttle bus will take guests back to the hotel. Keep in mind if you take the shuttle bus you are committing to staying the entire duration of our ceremony and reception. As we get closer to the wedding, we will have more details about the shuttle service and will update the website.

What elevation will we be at?

Answer

Ridgway is at 6,962 feet and our venue is at 8,600 feet. Everyone responds to elevation differently, but people usually start to feel it around 8,000 feet. Just make sure to stay hydrated, drink electrolytes and take it easy the first few days you're in Colorado.

No, the ceremony and the reception are at the same location.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi formal for the wedding. All wedding events will be taking place outside in a meadow. Please consider footwear that won't sink into the ground and is comfortable moving around on uneven terrain. The average temperature is 85 during the day and 50 at night so please dress comfortably.

When is the welcome party?

Answer

We are having the welcome party Friday evening at 6:30pm. Please stop by if you can make it but no worries if you can't! The welcome party will be at Top of the Pines. We will have some light bites and drinks. There is no dress code for the welcome party!
