What is "black tie optional"?

Answer

"Black Tie Optional" means that guests are invited to wear formal evening attire, but it's not mandatory. For men, this typically means a dark suit and tie. For women, it’s an evening gown or a formal cocktail dress. If you prefer to dress more casually, a nice suit or dressy separates are also perfectly acceptable. The key is to dress up a bit for NYE and feel special for the occasion!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 6:30pm, so we encourage guests to arrive around 6:00pm.

What is the best way to get to Kiana Lodge from Seattle?

Answer

You can either take a ferry (Seattle-Bainbridge or Edmonds-Kingston) with your car onto the peninsula, or you can drive around south to Tacoma and then north onto the peninsula. We will no longer provide shuttle from the ferry, if you were expecting to do this, please message us.

What is the ferry schedule?

Please see the current ferry schedule at this link - https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=sea-bi The ferry is ~40 mins, therefore we recommend the 4:45pm ferry to allow ample time to travel to the venue. You can drive your car on the ferry or walk on and we will have our shuttle service available. Please check the ferry schedule the morning of for the latest updates on schedules/delays and possibly take an earlier ferry if needed. THE LAST FERRY BACK TO SEATTLE IS 12:55AM.

Where can we stay near the venue?

Answer

Our room block is currently full at the Clearwater Casino, but you can still call to book at the regular rate by phone at 360-598-8700 (unavailable on website). Other hotels nearby include, Poulsbo Inn, Fairfield Inn Poulsbo, Guest House Poulsbo, The Point Casino & Hotel, Oxford Suites, Eagle Harbor Inn Bainbridge Island, Pleasant Beach Inn Bainbridge Island, Marshall Suits Bainbridge Island, Quality Inn & Suite Bainbridge Island and Bainbridge Island Country Inn. There are also Airbnb/VRBOs. We recommend booking accommodation early due to the holiday.

Is there an after party?

We are staying at the Clearwater Casino and may or may not enjoy the Casino after ringing in the New Year at Kiana Lodge. Nothing is reserved or planned.

Due to venue capacity and catering arrangements, we are only able to accommodate guests who have been specifically invited. We hope you understand, and we can't wait to celebrate with you on our special day!

Is there transportation to the venue?

Answer

Please see the travel page. There will be a round trip shuttle between the Clearwater Casino and the venue starting at 5:30pm, please arrive at 5:30pm. Shuttles back to the casino start at 11pm.
