Many memorable moments occurred in March 2020…. we matched on Tinder, had our first date, made our relationship official, and of course, COVID. We created our own quarantine bubble and spent the summer living our best lives, funded by COVID stimulus checks and no responsibilities. Our time together in College Station brought so many fun times and fond memories. Eventually college life came to an end and we were forced into the adulting world.

Demitri graduated and moved to Denver in August 2021, while Madalynn remained in College Station to pursue a graduate degree. The next 10 months was spent long-distance. You know what they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder… and it sure did! Madalynn graduated and moved to Denver in May 2022.

After Madalynn's graduation, we moved in together! We lived in a basement apartment, working part time as ranch-hands for the landlord. After about a year of mucking horse poop, we moved to an apartment in the Denver Tech Center (DTC). We've discovered new hobbies that we enjoy together (skiing, hiking, camping, fitness, birding, fishing) and have really grown into the Colorado outdoors culture.

We enjoy hiking so much that Demitri made it a part of his proposal. We hiked to Hanging Lake, where Demitri popped the question! If you're familiar with the trail... you'd know that Demitri made Madalynn work for that proposal.

Answer

That leads us to now. We eloped this summer in Crested Butte, CO. Crested Butte is known as the Wildflower Capitol of Colorado, and we couldn’t think of a more perfect place to get married. We exchanged vows in a wildflower meadow during peak wildflower season. We’re so excited to be husband and wife! Cheers to July 15th.
