Modest cocktail attire (keep dresses/skirts at or below knee, keep shoulders and back covered, and keep necklines tasteful out of respect for the ceremony)
We are getting married in the Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Church where Anthony grew up. In addition to the typical elements of a wedding ceremony, such as exchanging rings and vows, the couple is also crowned to represent how they are king and queen of their new home, the domestic church, and how they are martyrs of love who die to themselves daily to serve one another in their marriage. The wedding ceremony takes place in the context of Divine Liturgy to emphasize how it is God who unites the couple and blesses their relationship. See FAQs for further information about the Byzantine Catholic Church and about receiving Communion.
3:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Closed toe shoes are advised. Dress in layers for hot afternoons and chilly evenings.
