We met bumping into each other (literally) at the water fountain in our gym (if you're picturing a rom com style meet-cute situation, you'd be absolutely right). Maddi wowed Eduardo with her sub par Spanish skills, which have since excelled thanks to his lessons over the past couple of years. The debate about what is to be officially considered our first date has yet to be settled, but one weekend of a high school football game, dinner, dancing, and coffee with pan de bono later, we were inseparable. We knew almost immediately that we would spend the rest of forever dancing salsa poorly and drinking copious amounts of coffee together. With plenty of bumps in the road, just like everyone else, we continue to show up for each other every single day, despite the barriers that could come between them. We are each other’s biggest fans and best teammates. We have built a life and family anyone would be proud of. Cheers to a lifetime of memories of taco making, dancing, coffee shops, and Sunday morning breakfasts. For if all we have in this lifetime are these and our family of three (dog included in the count), that will be more than enough.
