It's stunning how much impact a simple swipe can have. As is common nowadays, we met as two fresh-out-of-college kids who, perhaps out of a sense of caution, had few grand expectations for what our digital "match" might become (I'm sure we were not each other's first dating app meet-up, to put it one way). It's somewhat of a miracle that an apartment occupied by three cats, and another that could best be described as a house for graduate frat brothers, didn't turn one or both of us away. As we both started to navigate the "real world" post college, we found that through the tumult, job changes, moves -- not to mention Covid -- the one thing in our lives that remained steady was each other. Our developing relationship became a comfort - a person to laugh with, a birding companion, a homey meal (prepared by Maddie). This early comfort we had with each other eventually grew into love. We are so excited to celebrate that love with you all on one day that brings together all the unique people and elements that make up our lives.
