Chaz and Madison met in September of 2022. Madison was in the process of moving to Texas when her parent's friends (Christy and Kelli) said to her, "You are not moving to Texas! We are going to find you a guy here so you stay!". Chaz always hung around at Pelican Lakes Golf Course as well as Madison's parent's friends. Chaz ended up being the guy they found for Madison. The friends gave Chaz Madison's phone number and a few days later he called her to ask her on a date. Their first date was at Peculiar Brewery in Windsor, Co. They both quickly realized it was a perfect match. With so many common interests, golfing and fishing dates became a regular thing and it is safe to say Madison did not end up moving to Texas.

Chaz and Madison got engaged on October 26, 2024 in Rocky Mountain National Park. Chaz had everything planned out perfectly with the help of Madison's mom. Madison was under the assumption they were all having family photos taken together in the mountains. Once they arrived at a lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, Madison's family told her they were running a little behind and to go ahead and find the photographer and have "couples photos" taken. Chaz and Madison began walking around the lake and found the photographer. She had them stand on a dock with the lake and mountains in the background. That is when Chaz got down on one knee and popped the question! Of course Madison immediately said "YES!".
