It was a month before senior prom. Planning on tagging along with a friend and her date, the friends searched around trying to find someone for Madison to go with. After asking around, Braxton came into the picture. He was just coming home from basic training, so the four of them all met up for a double date. It started out by grabbing some coffee and getting to know each other. The four of them decided to go catch a movie that night as well. Once the night came to an end, Madison and Braxton exchanged numbers and continued to get to know one another. After a series of a few more dates, a month went by and the two went to prom together. Three days after they officially started dating and the rest is history.

While packing up and heading out for a family vacation, Braxton called and surprised Madison by letting her know he would be joining them down in Florida for a few days of the vacation before having to return back to work. Madison was so thrilled he would be coming down to spend time with her and the family. Having gone to look and try on rings just a few months prior to this vacation, it raised some suspicions for Madison. The two enjoyed their first day of vacation together. On day two, after some time relaxing on the beach, Braxton asked Madison to take a walk with him. Not thinking too much of it they went to enjoy a stroll down the beach together. They enjoyed the time together talking about all they have accomplished together and have overcome. When the two of them came to a stop, there were some nerves between the both of them. Braxton grabbed Madison's hand, grabbed the ring, and went down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
