Important Travel Information

Estes Park is a beautiful mountain town at 7,522 ft elevation. This means that things like exercising, drinking, and other activities will affect you more if you live at a low elevation. Please keep this in mind when traveling! We recommend staying very hydrated in the days leading up to and during travel, and using canned oxygen if you feel affected by the altitude when in Estes. LODGING Estes Park is a very popular summer travel destination! While there is plenty of lodging available, we strongly recommend booking early if you are able to attend. We have some Room Blocks available, as well as some other lodging options included. TRANSPORTION Estes Park is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Denver International Airport. There is NO Uber or Lyft service available, so a rental car is the most flexible choice for transportation. Please note: there is NO rental car provider in Estes -- cars will need to be rented at DIA. Estes Park Shuttle is a paid, scheduled shuttle that runs between the airport and Estes if you prefer to use that. There are also free shuttle buses that run to various places in town and stop near many lodging options. Most routes run from 9A to 9P, and you can check the website for route/stop info. PARKING In the summer, most areas of Estes Park are paid parking and space can be limited. The town utilizes the ParkMobile app, so you may want to download this in advance. WEATHER The weather in late June in Estes should generally be sunny and beautiful! While typically daytime temps will be in the low 70s, evenings do get chilly (lows generally in the high 30s to low 40s), so be sure to plan for that. And believe or not, we do occasionally get a late season snow in June! Be sure to check the forecast before heading out, and we encourage packing a variety of layers to cover all possibilities. The Stanley Hotel is historic and famous for being the inspiration behind Stephen King's iconic book, "The Shining." No Room Block available, but we know some folks might be interested in staying here. Scheduled shuttle service from Denver International Airport to your accommodations in Estes Park. Cost is $75 one way or $135 roundtrip per customer. Reservations may be made online or by calling 970-586-5151.

Estes Park offers free shuttle buses that will take visitors around town and offers stops near many lodging options. They also take vistors into Rocky Mountain National Park. Route info and stops are available on the website.

Parking Information

There are multiple public parking lots around Estes Park. Most are paid during the day and free after 5:00. Please click "view" to see website for map of parking areas. There will be ample free parking for the ceremony and reception at the venue. For the Rehearsal Dinner (invitation only) and Post Toast (all invited), there are several public lots that are walking distance to The Barrel (venue) -- all will be free at the time of the event. On the parking map, these lots are closest: Davis (Wolf icon); Wiest (Bear); and Riverside (Trout). There is also some parking just south of The Barrel in Picadilly Square by Estes Angler, Rock Cut Brewery, etc.
