Tyler and Maddie have been "friends" for what seems like a lifetime. But really, their story began in 2011 when Maddie asked the handsome upperclassman (Tyler), who she had met while working out at Harold's, to Barlow's winter formal. Tyler took a couple of days to respond... but said yes in the end. They danced the night away, and after that became "best friends" with a special bond. They got to know each others' families, made a lot of memories together, and even went to Tyler's senior prom together. However, "friends" was all they would ever be when they were younger. Through college years Tyler and Maddie went their separate ways, checking in on each other every now and then, both growing into their own people on their own terms. That is, until December of 2019, when Maddie came home from college for winter break and the two rekindled their friendship, which quickly turned into more. The timing was finally right for the two to start dating, and the rest is history. They knew from the start of their relationship that they were bound for marriage and the two became engaged in November of 2020. It seems as though they were not the only ones who knew they would end up together. Since the engagement, numerous friends and family members have reached out saying they knew they were always meant to be.
