Tyler and Madison met through the best man Eric in November 2016. Madison and Eric had plans to ski together one day when Tyler joined and they crossed their poles as they sat down on the chairlift at Mt. Rose and the rest is history! Tyler had been working at Mt. Rose as a ski instructor that season. And if you know anything about Madison’s family history at Mt. Rose, you know right off the bat, the two were a match made in heaven. Their relationship began as long distance as Tyler had recently moved to Santa Barbara and Madison was in the middle of her degree at University of Nevada, Reno. It only took Madison one visit to Santa Barbara for Tyler to decide to make the move back to Reno to pursue their relationship. In July 2017, they got their first dog, Zephyr, together while living separately with their parents. Tyler was hired on with the Nevada Highway Patrol and was placed in Winnemucca Nevada where they moved in together and adopted another dog, Bodie. Tyler transferred to the local PD and Madison commuted (with the dogs) for over a year back and forth to Reno to go to school. Madison graduated in May 2019 and a few weeks later on June 2nd, Tyler wanted to take a walk... See Tyler had never met Madison’s father, as he passed away shortly before the two met in 2016. There is a special spot in Madison’s childhood hills where her father, David, ashes were spread. Tyler thought the only appropriate place to ask Madison for forever was in front of her father and of course she said YES!
