FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited venue capacity, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, your envelope would list “(your name) & Guest”. For families it would list “(your name) & Family” or “The (your last name) Family”. When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate everyone’s children at our wedding due to restricted numbers and space. This pertains to children of all ages including infants, toddlers, kids, and teens. If your envelope is addressed “Mr. & Mrs. (Your Last Name),” that means only you and your significant other have been invited. We hope you will see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the party with us!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code will be formal attire. Men, please consider a suit and tie of any color. Women, please consider floor length or mid-calf length gowns in almost any color. We are requesting that women do not wear any shades of white, as this color is reserved for the bride, and no shades of red. No jeans please! The ceremony will be held outside in grass, so please choose your shoes wisely!

Question

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories, & creams. Also please avoid wearing shades of red, as it can be bad luck.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will be held outdoors, we recommend a light jacket for the evening.

Question

What happens if I do not RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date we have provided, you will be marked as “Not Attending”. If you know you will not be able to make it before invitations are sent out, please let either Timofey or Madison know ASAP. We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide a total guest count to the venue & vendors in the timely manner they have given us. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

No, we are having an “unplugged” ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones be put away and turned to silent/ off during the ceremony. We have hired professional photographers to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we’d hate to have a well-meaning person’s phone blocking that moment in photos. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos as you want! We will share the photos of the ceremony when we receive them!

Question

What do I do if I’m late for the ceremony?

Answer

Our coordinator will let you know if they are still allowing guests in or if you need to wait until the ceremony is over. If that happens, you will still be able to attend the reception, so hang tight and we will see you then! Thank you for understanding!

Question

How does seating work?

Answer

The ceremony will be open seating, but the first one or two rows will be reserved for our immediate families. For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those they know or their partner.

Question

I have a question that isn’t answered, or I was recommended to contact Madison or Timofey. How can I reach you?

Answer

Please feel free to text us any questions that weren’t answered. We will get back to you at our soonest availability, as we both work night shifts and live in North Carolina, so our days are very different! Madison: (661) 444-4794 Timofey: (916) 420-2069

For all the days along the way
