Tanner and Madison met on a weekend getaway with their friends in Frisco, Colorado in December of 2018. They were soon drawn to each other again on New Year’s Eve. Little did they know, this new year would bring a new beginning. Fortunately, over the next two months, Tanner and Madison found themselves around each other more and more. Recently out of a relationship and trying to stay single, Madison was initially hesitant to pursue anything with Tanner. One time when Tanner asked Madison to dinner, she even brought her four roommates along with her. Finally, Madison admitted she had feelings for Tanner and shortly after that, Tanner announced he got a new job …in Texas. Both thought this marked the end of their potential relationship. To their surprise, the phone calls grew longer, their feelings grew stronger, and their relationship began. For the next year, they continued living in separate states but frequently flying to see each other. Eager to spend more time together, Tanner moved back home to Colorado. A year and a half went by quickly and Texas called Tanner back. In October of 2021, he moved to San Antonio to further his career as a pilot. Madison took this opportunity to pursue travel nursing in January of 2022. The two have continued their long-distance relationship ever since. Madison had assignments in Arizona, South Carolina, and Montana. She also had one in San Antonio for five amazing months where it was just the two of them making up for lost time. It was during that time Tanner found the newest addition to their family. He surprised Madison by bringing home a big eared feisty dog they named Chaco. In May of 2023, Madison and Tanner flew to Sedona, AZ for what was supposed to be a trip with his parents. Little did Madison know, the hike they were taking was leading to a well-orchestrated surprise of Tanner proposing to Madison. Both of their parents and siblings were hiding in the bushes to share in the beautiful moment of him getting down on one knee. She obviously said yes! Although it was their plan to live in Texas, Tanner was recently blessed with a new job in Colorado and they are both now back at home! They are looking forward to continuing with their love of traveling, cooking, and finding new adventures together from the same home in the same state! Tanner and Madison can attest to the statement that distance makes the heart grow fonder and cannot wait to finally pursue this next stage of life as husband and wife!
