Georgia boy meets Wisconsin girl. It all started back in the summer of 2021 when Skylor took a job in Neenah, WI. Moving 1000 miles away from everything he knew wasn't an easy choice, but he knew it was the right choice. After a year of surviving the brutal weather, Skylor was ready to move back home. That's when his life changed for the better. One summer night, Skylor and Madison both got invited out by the same group of friends. Both still trying to find their roots in their new town, they were just looking to meet some new people and have a little fun. Little did they know that their life would change forever that night. People always ask where they met and Skylor gives the classic answer "No Idea". No idea was the bar where they first got introduced through the mutual friends. After a night of some drinks and darts, Skylor decided he wanted to impress this girl by signing up for a half marathon with her. Having never ran more than a 5k, Skylor was in over his head. Skylor stuck to his word and showed up the next morning hungover ready to go on a practice run. It didn't take long for Skylor and Madison to realize there was an instant connection. Madison wanted to spend more time with Skylor, so she invited him to her new classroom to help set up for the school year and for lunch after. Normally the guy asks the girl on the first date, but not in this case, Madison took Skylor on the first date. There was no turning back after this. The love for one another was undeniable. Two years later and they are engaged waiting to get married. Skylor and Madison have grown their love for one another through many movie nights at home, gamedays (Georgia, Bucks, Brewers, Packers), weekend trips, and vacations. Not only have they got to explore the state of Wisconsin, they have taken trips to Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. If domestic trips weren't enough, they have also been able to go to Costa Rica with Skylor's family and Thailand with Madison's family. Both were able to survive trips with the soon to be in-laws, so there was no denying they were meant for each other. One of the most memorable trips they got to share was in April of 2024. Skylor planned a getaway weekend to Door County to have some alone time and a quality weekend together. Madison had no idea her life was going to change forever on April 13th. After a wine, spirit, and brews trolley tour, it was time for the big moment. Skylor had hired a photographer to capture the big moment at one of their favorite wineries. Skylor asked Madison to go for a walk through the orchard trees. Madison was reluctant at first but agreed to go. Once to the spot to propose, Madison didn't want to be in the photographers pictures. She kept insisting that they move out of the way, so they weren't in the background. She soon realized that the photographer was for her as Skylor got down on one knee. The biggest smile came out on her face once she realized what was happening. After taking some time to soak in the moment, they got to share their joy with the anxiously waiting families back home. Lautenbach's Orchard will always hold a special place in their heart. This is just the beginning to our love story. Although we have been able to make numerous memories together already, we can't wait to make so many more. We are excited to officially confess our love for one another at the alter on July 18th, 2025. We would love to have our favorite people there to kick off our marriage with the ones who mean the most to us. We look forward to seeing you there!
