NoDa
NoDa, short for North Davidson, is Charlotte’s artsy, fun-loving neighborhood. It’s full of colorful galleries and lively music spots like the big-stage Neighborhood Theatre or the cozy Evening Muse. Along North Davidson Street you’ll find quirky gift shops, sparkly jewelry stores, and even a few tattoo parlors. When hunger strikes, grab some Southern comfort food, spicy Cajun dishes, or a slice of pizza and finish the night at one of the area’s trendy dive bars.
Plaza Midwood
Plaza Midwood is a trendy, laid-back neighborhood known for its nightlife, with plenty of low-key dive bars and intimate music venues like Snug Harbor. There’s also a vibrant restaurant scene featuring comfort food eateries, barbecue joints, gastropubs and several popular ice-cream shops. Stores sell everything from consignment and vintage clothing to records and locally made artisan goods and jewelry.
