Question

How do I reach Ravello?

Answer

PLANE The nearest international airport is Naples Capodichino (NAP), about a 1.5 hour drive to Ravello. Rome Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) is another great option, approximately a 3.5–4 hour drive to Ravello, particularly if you plan to travel through Italy before making your way down to the Amalfi Coast. From the Naples airport, we recommend that you travel via private car directly to Ravello. Our wedding planning team can assist you with booking. If you wish to arrange a private car, please email Giorgia: giorgia@lovestoryitaly.com. We highly recommend that you do not rent a car during your stay. The Amalfi Coast is known for its narrow, winding roads, limited parking, and specific driving restrictions that can make navigating the area challenging. TRAIN Take a train to Salerno or Naples - you can purchase tickets via these websites: https://www.trenitalia.com/it.html or https://www.italotreno.com/it. From Naples Central Station: Continue by private transfer. From Salerno: You can take a ferry to Amalfi, then a local bus or private car service up to Ravello. FERRY From Naples, Sorrento, or Positano, you can take a ferry to Amalfi: https://www.misterferry.com. Once in Amalfi, Ravello is just a 15-minute drive or bus ride uphill (the public bus company is called SITA) - tickets can be purchased at the local tabacchi shops or online downloading the app Unico Campania.

Question

What are the passport requirements?

Answer

Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure from Europe. However, most people recommend having at least 6 months of validity remaining, so double-check the expiration date and renew ahead of time if needed! If you need to renew, U.S. citizens can submit a renewal request online through the U.S. Department of State at travel.state.gov. There is not currently a travel visa requirement to enter Italy, but we will let you know if that changes!

Question

How do I reach Villa Cimbrone?

Answer

Villa Cimbrone is only accessible by foot through the charming pedestrian walkways of Ravello. The walk from the main square is approximately 10–15 minutes and includes uneven cobblestone paths. We recommend wearing comfortable flats for the walk and bringing your heels to change into upon arrival. A shoe check will be available at the venue. If you have any mobility restrictions or concerns about the walk, please let us know in advance. We’d be happy to arrange a porter service to assist you with transportation to the venue.

Question

Allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions (including if you do not eat red meat) that you didn’t have a chance to include on your RSVP, please reach out to Madison or Ryan so we can make sure you are taken care of!

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

We adore your little ones! However, we’ve chosen to make our wedding and other events adults-only so that everyone can relax, celebrate, and enjoy to the fullest.

Question

Thinking of arriving to the Amalfi Coast early?

Answer

We recommend staying in Positano if you're planning to get in ahead of the wedding festivities! Positano is a breathtaking seaside village known for its colorful cliffs, Mediterranean charm, and stunning views. There’s plenty to do, from relaxing at beach clubs and browsing boutiques to enjoying the nightlife. It’s the perfect place to start the celebration early and soak in everything the Amalfi Coast has to offer.
