I like to attribute our meeting to a failure to sign up for a parking spot on time! We met for the first time playing pool at our apartment. Neither of us thought much about it and we finished our game and said our goodbyes. As previously mentioned, at the beginning of the semester, I missed an email to secure a parking spot on my floor. I lived on the 2nd floor, and the next available spot was on the 6th floor. This meant that every time I got groceries, I had to take the elevator down to my floor. On one of these inconvenient/ultimately very convenient occasions, I open the door to the elevator room with arms full of groceries, to see him standing there waiting for the elevator too. Recognizing him instantly I said, "Hey you're the pool guy!" This sparked a conversation in the short elevator ride, and we later planned our first date that following Friday!
