It all started with a small get together at a friends house in Chatham, Massachusetts. We were both 2014 highschool graduates just trying to defy our parents rules for one more summer before “real life” began. The next thing we knew we were running from the busted party and sleeping in a powerline field until the early morning... Little did we know that we were soul mates and would reconnect 5 years later! I came home from school in Canada just to go on a date with him. That night we went out for margaritas and he proceeded to purchase a round trip plane ticket to Toronto to see me the following month on my birthday! And he also bought 2 red sox tickets for April in the same night. It definitely wasn’t your typical first date but we had a hunch we were destined to be together. Fast forward to September 4th, 2020 and Robby enlisted my brother, Jake to help with his proposal. Jake was in Martha's Vineyard with us and dropped us off at State Beach. Robby had a backpack with a blanket, my favorite wine and 2 glasses. He laid out the blanket and poured me a glass and we just enjoyed the beautiful view and our last night of vacation. Little did I know he had been carrying the ring around in his pocket all day, trying to decide when to ask (including in his bathing suit pocket at the beach earlier that day… is he insane? Maybe). He talked for what seemed like forever about our lives together and how much he loved me and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
