We recommend flying into Milan. Laglio is about 38 miles from Milan (or from Milan city center). The nearest major airports are Milan Malpensa (MXP), Milan Linate (LIN), and Milan Bergamo (BGY). We’re planning to purchase our flights 6 months in advance, but will add in details once we’ve booked. We recommend using tools like Google Flights and Hopper to set up alerts on prices for the desired itinerary. Villa Vittoria is located near Cernobbio, about an hour from Milan’s airports. The easiest and most comfortable option is a private transfer or taxi, which takes roughly 1 hour from Milan Malpensa or Linate. Alternatively, you can take a train from Milano Centrale to Como San Giovanni (40–50 minutes) and then a taxi to your accommodation. Villa Vittoria is about 30 minutes from the station. For those who prefer flexibility, rental cars are also available. We will be renting a car. Note: Ferries are wonderful for exploring Lake Como’s towns but not ideal for traveling to or from Milan or the airports.
