Noah and Madison first met in high school in October 2017 when they were both visiting Abilene for ACU Homecoming. They played Monopoly and spent the day at the Pimentel’s home (Noah’s family and Madison’s long-time family friends), but only spoke a few words to each other before parting ways for almost 4 years. Fast forward to June 2021, Noah walked into his first day of a physics internship to find Madison sitting among the group of students (a moment he calls “love at second sight”). However, it wasn’t until a few days in that Madison broke the ice and said, “This might be weird, but didn’t we play Monopoly together that one time?”. They became quick friends and were secretly excited to find out they had a class together that next semester. Being 2 out of 6 people in their Optics class, their friendship grew as study buddies working through homework problems and lab reports. Their study sessions slowly turned into Sonic runs, walks on the Lunsford Trail, and watching shows together. After taking each other as dates to their fraternity and sorority events, they began officially dating at the end of December. Though they knew how much they enjoyed spending time together, the timing wasn’t right and they went back to being friends after a couple of months. Life brought changes as Noah graduated and moved across the country to North Carolina to attend graduate school, but despite the distance, Noah and Madison remained good friends and talked often. The foundation was poured for a strong relationship during these 2 years as “just friends”, where they spent countless hours talking over FaceTime and getting to know each other better. While they considered dating during these years, God made it clear that the timing still wasn’t right. Eventually Noah started talking to another girl, and they decided to take a step back from their friendship. During these few months of little to no communication for the first time ever, Madison realized she didn’t want to live a life without Noah and couldn’t risk losing the best person in the world. She eventually mustered up the courage to call him and ask if he was willing to give their relationship another shot. Thankfully, Noah said yes, and they officially got back together in July of 2024. They have been doing long distance ever since, both pursuing careers in medical physics, and they agree that it was the best decision they ever made. Noah proposed in August 2025 and will move to Nashville in July, marking the end of 4 years in different states. They cannot WAIT to finally be reunited and become husband and wife this September!!
