We met while attending school at UW-Whitewater. It was the middle of the pandemic, social distancing couldn't keep us apart. With no where to go and nothing to do we kept talking, before long we knew we had found something special. We were introduced to each others families within the first month of knowing each other because we already knew we wanted them to be apart of our future. After our first school year, we moved in together for the first time. It was a summer of laughs, love, no AC, and lots of work; while Maddie was interning and Nick was working retail. Then moving into our own respective places for the school year revealed how inseparable we are. Towards the end of this school year we had moved in together with roommates which led to our aquarium hobby. Here is where Nick graduated from UW-Whitewater and began his career with Country Financial. Life kept moving and so did we. We eventually signed a lease just the two us with our first apartment in Whitewater. Here is where Maddie graduated from UW-Whitewater and started working for the university as faculty. We then welcomed our first kitten, Uno, into our little family. A year later we took a big step and moved away from our college town to East Troy. Right before Maddie made a career change property management, we welcomed our second kitten, Dos, into our family. Since 2020 we have traveled to 7 states together, have found a new appreciation for cooking, and have met extended family. We have built a life full of beer, laughter, love and support. Through every apartment, every career change, every kitten, and every adventure we've continued to choose each other. And the best part of our story is that it is still being written.
