She says: Madi and I knew each other a little bit in High School. He attended Charlotte Latin, and I attended Providence Day - He was the swimmer, and I was the soccer girl. My best friend went to Latin as well so Madi and I's paths crossed here and there, but it was not until my senior year summer of college where I'd stop thinking of him as a cute boy that was good at swimming for the enemy. One summer evening, I had met my family out for dinner after my summer league soccer practice -so yes, I was in my sweaty, smelly soccer gear thinking I would not run into anyone I'd know. Sure enough, I ran into Madi, but we kept things casual as I was headed to the bathroom and he was eating with family friends. But he caught my eye after that interaction. College passed, I then moved to D.C, and then further to Sweden, but when I returned from Sweden Fall of 2019 I ran into Madi at a bar in South End. That was it, I told myself "let's see what this guy has to offer". I reach out to Madi and asked him for drinks, but of course he was on the Whole 30, so drinks became dinner and the rest is history. He says: I knew of Morgan throughout high school, but we did not hangout for the first time until our senior year during a Summer concert at Verizon Wireless. This was also the night we took our first picture together as Morgan’s best friend went to Latin with me so she introduced us. We never dated or talked much after that, but I always thought Morgan was beautiful and I was attracted by how athletic she was. We ran into each other occasionally throughout the years but nothing ever came of it. It wasn’t until a few years after college when Morgan moved back to the US and we met at a bar. Ashamedly, I did not ask Morgan out for whatever reason- thank goodness she had the courage to make the first move. Our first date was at Kid Cashew followed by a second date to see Dr. Doolittle. Despite there being a global shutdown, we made every effort to see each other as much as possible. Dates out to new restaurants turned into take out at home and movie theater dates turned into binge watching All- American at the Mosack’s and the rest is history.
