A great spot for photos and it is close to downtown, you can continue walking on to the battery as well, one of our favorite walks because it displays old antebellum style homes.
Market Street is a great place to grab some souvenirs! They sell clothes, ornaments, teas, hand-painted photos and in the evenings all of the items sold are made in Charleston by locals.
This is a strip of shops, some are local and some are chains, and a great place to get some fun shopping in. There are also tons of coffee shops and restaurant as well as $1 oyster happy hours throughout the week at various places.
Probably one of the more iconic places to visit in Charleston it's located in the historic district.
This will take up a good chunk of the day but, if you have time, so worth it! We went after we got engaged and it was beautiful, The "Avenue of Oaks" at the entrance of the plantation make it one of the more recognizable plantations in the area, we recommend doing some tours while you're there too so you can really take in all the history.
Obviously had to recommend this one, Mason proposed on the boardwalk at Station 18! There are a lot of restaurants on Sullivans Island as well as a stretch of beach perfect for an evening walk.
