Please refer to the schedule section of the website for attire suggestions specific to each event. It gets very chilly in the evenings so we suggest layers and jackets/shawls for any outdoor events. Ladies - we recommend leaving the high heels at home as these mountain towns have lots of grass and cobblestone walkways and opting for chunky heels or wedges.
Please invite your date if your invitation should note "and guest".
As much as we love spending time with your kids, this is an adult-only event.
There will not be pre-arranged transportation to and from the wedding so we suggest booking a hotel room or Airbnb at or close to the Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa. However, Avon does have wonderful complimentary public transportation that runs from 6:30am - 10:00pm.
Early fall and the Aspen leaf-changing season! Typically the days will have clear blue skies with day-time temperatures in the upper 60's, and night-time temperatures in the mid 30's. Ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside and reception will be indoors.
We are beyond excited for you to join us in colorful Colorado! You'll be staying at almost 7,500ft while in Avon, which is a big change from sea level. Here are a few pointers to help you acclimate to the higher elevation so you can enjoy every second of our wedding weekend! Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Drink water…and lots of it! Start hydrating a few days before you arrive and continue drinking throughout your stay. How will alcohol affect me? At altitude, your body will process alcohol faster than you’re used to - we like to use the saying one drink equals three. Don’t be surprised if you feel the “buzz” a little sooner than expected. What's the best way to acclimate to the altitude? If you’re planning to spend some time in Colorado, consider acclimating gradually by starting your trip in Denver for a day! This will allow your body to adjust to 5,280ft before heading into the mountains. Oxygen machines can be rented at https://rentoxygen.com/.
