It was fall 2018, my freshman year of college. An old friend was coming through Bozeman, and invited me to a little soiree. So, I grabbed my best friend, and headed out the door. When we arrived at the house, all the faces seemed vaguely familiar. Everyone at the get together grew up in Billings, MT. Little did I know all of these strangers would soon be close friends at my wedding. But there was one stranger in particular who stood out, one I recognized but had never officially met- he was an exceptionally tall, cool glass of water with the most gentle, endearing aura. I tried to play it cool, but those big brown eyes made me all jittery as he shook my hand and introduced himself as Liam.
In my sophomore year at MSU I rented a house in Bozeman with two of my best friends and it was the hub of get-togethers for our friend group. In the late fall, we invited people over to watch the Bobcats play and a good buddy of mine was bringing a girl over who was in Army ROTC. At the time, I was in Air Force ROTC, so I did everything I could to hide that fact before they came over. Lo and behold, I would forget to put away my uniform hat and she spotted it right away. I introduced myself and her response was "I know", so naturally we hit it off and engaged in wonderful conversation for hours that night, something that immediately drew my attraction to her. A few days later would be our very first official "study date", in which I completed all of my homework ahead of time just to be able to talk to her.
