Regardless of your fandom, going to a Padres game at Petco Park is a must-do in San Diego!
Old Town Trolley Tours
This is a great way to see the city! It's a hop on hop off trolley tour that starts in Old Town and runs to Hotel Del Coronado and so many places in between.
La Jolla Kayak
A super fun way to get out onto the water and see the cliffs, sea lions, and surfers up close!
San Diego Zoo
It's true what they say, this is one of the best zoos in America, it is dense but very walkable!
Torrey Pines Gliderport
This is SO much fun! You'll go straight over big cliffside mansions, Torrey Pines Golf Course and... you also go over the nude beach ;)
Balboa Park
Beautiful park in the heart of San Diego! It's got a ton of museums, restaurants, and botanical gardens. Let us know if you want a recommendation!
Cabrillo National Monument
Best view in the city. Take it all in hundreds of feet above the ocean! Fun fact, this was where we got engaged! Note: has strict hours since it is part of a military base, be sure to check ahead.
Wheel Fun Rentals | Coronado Island
A bike ride down the silver strand is one of the coolest rides you could take!
Whale Watching
Heads up, sometimes the whales are shy but even if they are, you'll get a great ocean ride and probably see a million dolphins!

Modern Mexican, with one of the best views in the entire city! Reservations are recommended for most/all restaurants in San Diego. One of the best options is to download the app OpenTable.

This is a great roof top sushi restaurant right on Mission Beach!

Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station
Stone Brewing is a super popular brewery, there are multiple locations but the biggest and nicest is in Liberty Station Note: If you go to Liberty Station and sit outside, there will be planes flying overhead.
Neighborhood
This restaurant has a highly recommended speakeasy in the back called Noble Experiment. It's super small so make sure to make a res on OpenTable well before you come to town! The site does not explain how to get in so feel free to ask us and we'll let you know how!
Queenstown Public House
This might be the best brunch/lunch spot in town. New Zealand cuisine is so delicious!
The Corner Drafthouse
Classic American sports bar with a great brunch/lunch menu. Located just two blocks from Balboa Park!
La Puerta
Delicious Mexican food that has an absurd number of delicious cocktails and tequilas to try! Note: Two locations, one downtown and one in mission hills. Generally we recommend mission hills as it's easier to access.
Cafe Sevilla of San Diego
Fantastic Spanish tapas!

Maddie's favorite lunch spot in town! Note: There are multiple locations, the downtown location can be harder to park at.

Some say it's absurd to have this many brunch recommendations, but real ones know you can never have too many. We practically live at Farmer's Bottega since we live so close, it is so reliably good!
Meze Greek Fusion
A super fun and delicious Greek restaurant downtown in the Gaslamp district!
Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar
There are two locations for this restaurant. One is downtown right on the bay, with a beautiful view, and the other is set a bit further back from the water on Shelter Island, we recommend either, though you may want to valet if you go downtown and struggle to find parking.

The website describes this interesting bar better than we could to be honest, but it is a fun place to throw some cornhole!

Ballast Point is another great San Diego based brewery. It's located in Little Italy so its a great spot to grab a beer and an appetizer on your way through the neighborhood!

Another "speakeasy" that is more of a hidden restaurant, lots of great cocktails and delicious Hawaiian food!
