Jake and Maddie met in the summer of 2019 at a mutual friend’s bonfire. Over the next few months, they would learn of all the invisible strings between one another, while having never met. They officially started dating on February 28, 2020, and both graduated from UW–Eau Claire in 2021. Thereafter, they begun building their beautiful life together, adding their dog (Kado) along the way! On August 31, 2024, while hiking the bluffs of Madeline Island overlooking Lake Superior, Jake asked Maddie to marry him. She said yes. From bonfires to bluffs, they have built a life rooted in friendship, adventure, and choosing each other every day. They cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter with the people they love most.
