Forever like that…

Jack and Maddie were supposed to meet weeks before they did, but that’s a different story. The two officially met in college at Main Street Lanes in Farmville, Virginia in August of 2018. Just a couple of 20 year olds participating in some Longwood fun. As soon as they met, they were obsessed with each other and it was the two of them from there on. Jack asked Maddie to be his girlfriend on September 12, 2018–when you know, you know. After meeting as a sophomore and junior in college, they were inseparable, and after both had graduated from college and graduate school, J & M decided it was time to leave Farmville. They moved to Chesterfield and managed to find the smallest apartment imaginable. A year later they found themselves in a larger space, accumulating belongings and memories that would help start their new journey—little did Maddie know. Jack came up with a plan and spoke about it to everyone—except Maddie—for weeks. On May 17, 2024, J & M were on their way to “meet coworkers for a birthday” at the Boathouse in Midlothian, VA. Jack got down on one knee, spouted out all the words, recollected the memories and years together, and asked Maddie to marry him. It was 5 and a half years coming and the couple cannot wait to tie the knot, sign, seal, deliver, and enjoy forever together. Forever like that.
