Ian and I had decided to go to our high school's winter formal and ended up being introduced to each other by our friends. We ended up losing each other throughout the dance, but then Ian found me towards the end and asked me to dance. The song fergalicious was playing, and we clicked almost right away. Then, our song, Heaven came on. Ian asked me if he could have this slow dance and in that moment our whole lives changed!
At the end of the winter dance, Ian asked for my snapchat. We continued to talk for a couple weeks and get to know each other. Our mutual friends decided to make plans for us all to go roller skating and out to eat. We were still friends at this point, until after we went skating we stopped for food at A&W. There, one of our friends sitting across from us asked us if we were going to start dating already. We both looked at each other and said we weren't sure! At the end of that night, as we dropped Ian off at his house, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes, of course!
On our two year anniversary, Ian set up the day to go to this beautiful place called Hogback covered bridge in Madison County with our lovely photographer, Alexa Ober. He made plans with her so she could come take our pictures there to celebrate! He also had ice skating (a step up from our first date) and a nice dinner planned to follow. As we were walking along the bridge, Lex had me hold his hand and walk in front of him. As we were getting our picture taken, I heard him say my name and when I turned around he was down on his knee with a ring held up! I almost instantly cried and said yes! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
