We're FINALLY Getting Married!

9.16.16 Grant and I met in September of 2016, and we instantly became good friends. It wasn't until summer 2017 that we went on our first date. I showed him Land Between the Lakes and went to the Drive-In Movies afterward. We ate 2 burgers each and slept through the WHOLE movie. From then on it was history! We both knew we found the one.

After busy weeks at school and work, we planned out a weekend to spend relaxing. We decided to spend the day at the lakeshore and let Elliot swim and run around. We drove out to the lake's edge where we went on our first date and played with Elliot for a while. We even found my fishing lure from the summer before! (Proof this is our favorite spot!) Grant had miraculously hidden the ring the whole weekend! I turn around from throwing Elliot a stick to retrieve to Grant giving me the biggest hug and telling me how much he loved me. I instantly knew "this is it" and naturally began to cry happy tears. He pulls the ring out of his back pocket, gets down on one knee, and asks me to marry him and of course, I said YES! Who doesn't want to marry their best friend?
