As many of you know, Evan and Madison met in the summer of 2018 during the grind of TCU Football camp. Their relationship started as a wonderful friendship. Madison was convinced that she would never date anyone in her class at TCU. So, Evan found a way to remain in Madison's periphery through late night study sessions at the Phi Mu house, lots of trips to ice cream shops, and many Thursday nights at Billy Bobs (sometimes taking a lot of convincing on Madison's part). The two quickly became inseparable with many of their friend asking when they were going to date already. In October of 2019, the couple went on their first date to a pumpkin patch in Flowermound. Evan bought pumpkins for them and both of Madison's roommates, and the next day the group carved pumpkins together. Evan spent many more days and nights at Madison's house for movie nights, game nights, and birthday/holiday bashes. The two took their first trip to Ireland for a study abroad class in March of 2020. When they returned, things looked very different. They spend quarantine together learning new skills, trying lots of new recipes, and doing virtual Orangetheory classes in the backyard. After graduating from TCU, the couple spent two years figuring out long distance. Madison visited Evan in Morehead, Kentucky once a month during the school year, and Evan would spend a week or two with Madison in Nashville during the summers. They spent many nights at the brewery and wine bar in Morehead. Often followed by a trip to the rolled ice cream shop. In Nashville, they made Goo Goo Clusters, visited every bar on Broadway, and watched a few baseball games. They spent winter break cheering the Frogs in their CFP run followed by a relaxing trip to Gatlinburg, TN tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains. In May of 2023, the couple moved in to their first home in Tampa, FL. Madison spent her weekends cheering on Evan and the Buccaneers all fall. They took many trips to the beach and ate exuberant amounts of seafood. Madison finally wore Evan down and even got him to try sushi! In May of 2024 the couple moved to New Orleans, LA where they are now proud supporters of the Tulane Green Wave, Saints, and Pelicans. Following the conclusion of their first football seasons in NOLA, the couple made a trip back to Texas to visit Madison's family for a late Christmas. Madison's mom suggested they take some family photos at TCU before grabbing lunch. Little did she know, Evan had other plans in mind. Wanting to honor their time at TCU where their love story began, Evan thought that there was no better place to propose than at the iconic TCU Frog Fountain. We can't wait to celebrate our story with you this May!
