I met Michael in 5th grade, the year I moved to Vegas. He called me a nincompoop for a straight 8 hours at my first end of the year pool party, all in good childhood fun. Unbeknownst to us, it was the start of a lifelong friendship. He's hated every guy I ever dated, but made great friends with my soon to be husband. He has put up with my crazy antics, from being one of my biggest cheerleaders at my cheer competitions every time growing up, to carrying me through heartbreak, and also being my biggest competition and deck building buddy when it came to games. We've helped each other grow up together, and 20 years is nothing compared to the lifelong friendship ahead of us.

If campfires could talk, theirs would be a forest fire. They've been getting into wild antics for more than a decade a lot of which include camping trips, late nights by the fire, and maybe some lost pants along the way. Nic has been a loyal and understanding friend, while being supportive and caring, has become a lifelong friend to both Erik and Madi. He's got a strong sense of self and has challenged Erik to be a better person and grow up in many ways.

It all started over a bottle of vodka, dance lessons, and an ambulance call, yet here we are! I didn't realize when she walked into my life that I was gaining a friend, a sister, and a niece as well. She has challenged me mentally, emotionally, and once (in a midget wrestling ring) physically too! Our friendship has been nothing shy of unconventional. Life gave me a friend that would test my patience, but one that would be loyal, kindhearted, and trustworthy. She is my diva of a girlfriend with a great sense of style and likes to go by DJ Honey Dipp in her off hours. She likes to roller skate, change her hairstyle, and take her daughter out on Mommy-Daughter dates.

What you can find at the bottom of this Sailor Jerry bottle is confused parentage, Game of Thrones watch parties, great food, and a family like no other. What started out as coworkers, turned into a greater friendship than either would know. Erik gained a brother and sister, and would eventually become Uncle Pirate to 3 amazing kids. They've lived together, cried together, and laughed through all the tears. Chris is a great father, a loving husband, and looks out for those he loves with a fierce passion. He is never short of a joke, and could make you a drink that could rival Kayla's with how stiff it is, pun intended. He's probably going to cry before Erik does, but he'll have plenty of tissues and hugs for everyone he meets!

Kayla and I met through a mutual acquaintance when she first moved to Vegas. I'm not sure if I scared her with my Vegas know to knowledge, but what started as helping out a friend, turned into an even better friendship. She was able to adapt to Vegas the way not many people could, and she remained humble and true to herself when most people get lost. She fit right in with our friend group and matched our wild energy. Only the owls will know what we did, and we will always be 25-35-MONEY!

What started out as a very unlikely friendship, grew into a brotherhood of beer, sweat, and tears. The amount of times I've come and have seen Bryson and Erik standing across our kitchen island talking, knowing they haven't moved in hours, is more than I could count. I couldn't tell you what they've shared between them, but it's a lifelong bond that can't be broken.
