Where is the venue located?

Answer

Our wedding will take place at Dover Hall, which is located in Manakin-Sabot (Goochland). The address for the venue is: 1500 Manakin Rd Manakin-Sabot, VA 23103

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior (around 3:30) to the ceremony start time to find parking and your seat.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

In order to provide our vendors with an accurate guest count we kindly ask that you and your plus 1, if applicable, RSVP no later than 9/1/2026.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We encourage all guests to wear formal/cocktail attire. Formal dress code for women includes: floor length gowns, tea-length, and midi dresses. For men this includes suits and tuxes (please no jeans).

What are parking options?

Answer

There are designated areas for parking on site. Any vehicles left on the property must be retrieved between 9:00-11:00 a.m. the day after the event (Monday).

Although we love your children, this event is a child-free event.

Recommendations for nearby hotels/lodging

Answer

Our venue noted there are nearly 20 hotels conveniently located within 6-10 miles, and have partnerships with the Hyatt House Richmond/Short Pump, Alott Richmond West, and Residence Inn by Marriott Richmond Northwest, all of whom offer preferred rates.

Are we registered? If so, where?

Answer

We are registered with Amazon (link included under Registry tab) and are also accepting monetary donations under our Honeymoon Fund.

Handicap Accessibility

Answer

Our venue is fully ADA accessible. There is designated handicap parking around the back of the building and staff/security will gladly assist guests to the ceremony site, cocktail hour location, and dinner spaces throughout the evening. Inside of the venue, there is an elevator that connects the Ballroom level, the main floor, and the second floor. Additionally, there are handicapped restrooms and ramps for anyone with wheelchairs or using walkers!

Where will the reception and cocktail hour be held?

Answer

Cocktail hour will begin at approximately 4:30 p.m. on site at Dover Hall. The reception will begin at approximately 6:00 indoors, and will also remain on site. All activities will end by 11:00 p.m.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Please indicate on your RSVP/invitation any food allergies.

What are the meal/dinner options?

Answer

There will be a total of 3 different entree options—with one option being Vegetarian. Each invitation will include a card for yourself and your plus 1 (if applicable). On the invitations/RSVP cards, please indicate the selected entree for yourself and your plus 1!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be drinks during cocktail hour and dinner, as well as the reception! Drinks on us! Drive home safely, and please, no BYOB—our venue has a strict policy on licensed bartending only!

Can I take pictures and videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that phones are put away during the ceremony portion. We have an amazing photographer and they will be there to capture all the moments during the ceremony! Feel free to take as many pictures/videos once the ceremony is finished!

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

We've worked hard to create an intimate celebration, so only the guests listed on your invitation are invited. If your invitation says "+1" or includes a guest's name, then yes we'd love for them to join!

Is there a dress color to avoid?

Answer

Please avoid wearing white, ivory, or cream to allow the bride to shine in her dress.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting) and the reception will be indoors.

What if I didn’t RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided it will automatically be marked as "no". We will miss celebrating with you but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!
